Webshoz announced that Directory Marketing Inc., a Yellow Pages management provider for publishers, is now representing Videobar, the video ad software for online directories. We profiled this technology last year.
Webshoz developed Videobar to increase consumer views of online ads, which generates more leads for advertisers and added revenues for publishers. It showcases up to six videos as one collective horizontal display ad. “There are clear benefits for local and national advertisers who use the Videobar to reach their intended audience for immediate engagement without even a click, simply by inserting their video ad right at the top of search results,” said DMI President Kari Simpson.
Webshoz is using video to increase ad revenues for online directory publishers the way Solve Media uses it to increase ad revenues for brand advertisers. We’ll see more video advertising platforms from companies in the quest for memorable online ads.
