During the height of the pandemic last year, the Home Services vertical grew while other verticals like retail and restaurants contracted. Obviously sheltering in place gave people the time they needed to tackle improvements to the inside and outside of their home.
For this year, BIA estimates the ad spend from businesses the Home Services vertical will reach $7.3 billion. Traditional media will still get the lion’s share of the ad dollars (65 percent), but more and more the shift to digital continues to expand the share of wallet. We would not be surprised to see the share between medias grow to almost equal by 2025.
