The Local On-Demand Economy (LODE) — also known as the “uberfication of everything” — is among the hottest topics in tech & media news. More important, and quantifiable, is that it’s the greatest recipient of VC funding of the past year. We have been covering the space closely here and in recently launched a white paper.

The next phase of our coverage is an industry-defining conference that we’ll hold June 12 at UCSF Mission Bay in San Francisco. Known as BIA/Kelsey NOW, you can expect all the trappings of a BIA/Kelsey conference in its roster, production quality, and C-level networking. But we’ll also do things differently with the fun and dynamics of a one-day intellectually-centric summit.

Consider this post a call for participation. We’re filling out the program with speakers and also have lots of visibility opportunities for companies that want to have an impact on LODE. Please email me for any of the above (mbolandATbiakelsey). The same goes for copies of our white paper or any other ways you’d like to engage around what will be a transformative force in local.

Meanwhile, see the conference co-chairs discuss LODE and its implications in the video below.
