Congrats to xAd for winning an MMA “Smartie” award for Enabling Technology Company of the Year. This comes right after it was recognized by Business Insider for Hottest Pre-IPO Adtech startups.

xAd in many ways is carrying the flag of mobile local advertising and is pushing the ball forward (among other MoLo ad networks) with lots of innovative local ad targeting methods, formats and measurements.

As such, the award isn’t just a good vote of confidence for xAd, but a sign of broader adoption, appreciation and recognition of location targeting in mobile. We’ve come a long way since this, but there’s still far to go.
