BIA/Kelsey is very excited to add Randy Wootton, Microsoft’s VP of Global Search and Online Marketplace, to the slate of featured speakers at Directional Media Strategies 2010, which convenes in Dallas Sept. 14-16.

Wootton will speak on the final day of the conference, offering Microsoft’s take on the local online opportunity, the role it intends to fill and its approach to partnering.

Before assuming his current role, Wootton was general manager of Microsoft’s U.S. Specialist Sales Organization, chief of staff for the Online Services and Window Business Group, and general manager in Microsoft’s Online Services Business.

Before Microsoft, Wootton worked for several years at aQuantive. Further back, he was a bombardier/navigator on A-6 Intruders for the United States Navy.

Wootton has a B.S. from the Naval Academy, an M.A. from St. John’s College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
